Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Loppr ("we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). Our website is loppr.app. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@loppr.app.

2. What data Loppr collects

Loppr collects no personal data. We do not operate any servers, user databases, or analytics infrastructure. The app has no back-end.

All data you enter — plant names, yard locations, pruning logs, notification preferences, your USDA zone, and any photos — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage using AsyncStorage and the device file system. This data never leaves your phone unless you manually export or share it.

3. Location data

If you choose to use the "Auto-detect my zone" feature, Loppr requests your device's GPS coordinates one time for the sole purpose of identifying your USDA hardiness zone. This coordinate:

• Is processed entirely on your device
• Is never transmitted to Loppr or any third party
• Is not stored by the app after the zone is determined
• Is only accessed if you explicitly tap the "Detect my zone" button

You may instead select your zone manually without granting location permission.

4. Push notifications

Loppr uses Expo Notifications to deliver pruning reminders and, for Premium users, frost alerts and weekly digests. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is processed by Loppr's servers because Loppr has no servers.

Note: The underlying platform (Apple APNS or Google FCM) may be involved in delivering notifications. This is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.

5. Advertising (free tier)

The free version of Loppr displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. This is governed entirely by Google's Privacy Policy.

Loppr Premium users see no ads whatsoever. No advertising SDKs are active for Premium subscribers.

6. In-app purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed by RevenueCat in conjunction with the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Loppr does not receive or store your payment information. Purchase and subscription management is governed by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and your app store's terms.

7. Weather data (Premium)

For frost alerts, Loppr Premium fetches a 7-day weather forecast from Open-Meteo, a free and open weather API. Your approximate coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo solely to retrieve the forecast. Open-Meteo does not require an account, does not track users, and does not sell data. See Open-Meteo's terms for details.

8. Photo journal (Premium)

Photos taken or imported through Loppr's photo journal feature are stored locally on your device using the device's file system. Photos are never uploaded to any server, shared with any third party, or transmitted over the internet.

9. Children's privacy

Loppr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided information, please contact us and we will address the situation promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Your rights

Because Loppr does not collect personal data, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. All data you've entered into the app can be deleted by uninstalling the app or using the in-app delete options.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, California, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, we believe our no-data-collection approach exceeds the requirements of applicable laws. If you have concerns, please reach out.
